I saw in one of your videos about the SF2000 regarding the list of emulators, and PPSSPP is one of them
I was wondering if it is ever possible to have the PPSSPP emulation in the SF2000 to play PSP games?
And if so, is there a potential tutorial for this?
Thanks!
Hi dude,
that‘s a good question though :)
I think you refer to this list here i added to one of my Youtube videos regarding Multicore for the SF2000: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1BDPqLwRcY2cN7tObuyW7RzLw8oGyY9XGLS1D4jLgz2Q/htmlview#gid=1430267016
The first page shows what cores are actually running with the SF2000. Unfortunately the PSP emulator PPSSPP is not listed. But that is expected since PSP emulation needs quiete a lot of processing power and hardware support that the SF2000 just can‘t provide.
We can expect some less demanding system cores to be ported to the SF2000 and GB300 (e.g. like some Atari core or PCEngine (TurboGrafX) were ported).
PSP will never be able to run on the SF2000. And even if the developer could make the core run somehow, the emulation speed of games would be horribly bad and slow.
So sorry, i don‘t think this will ever happen.
