I wondered if there was any help for me on the forum with an issue I'm having with the RG353M. The console always boots to Android. I read that that is an option in the Linux OS that comes with the console. However, now I have ARK OS i don't know how to deselect this option? I can get to Retro Arcade 0.4 fine by first booting to android and then restarting with the "select" button pressed but its a slow start-up process.
Anyone know how I can get back to the default option where it will boot to Linux by default if there is a SC card in TF1?
I tried now to reproduce this issue since i have four RG353M but no chance to get it just boot from android đ
I used a device with Anbernic Android and Anbernic Linux OS .
How could you manage that to get the boot only to Android?
Hi guys, nice to see youâre already digging into this problem. I need to get myself a device running to test this, but iâm on limited time atm.
I think this could be related to some boot priority. Maybe a GRUB bootloader setting? Or some script that needs to be created on the system to set the right boot partition when the sd card gets mounted by the system.
Seems like such a mechanism is existing on stock but missing for ArkOS.
To overcome this issue, you can simply install GammaOS https://github.com/TheGammaSqueeze/GammaOS-RK3566
In my opinion the better android version
This is a good point to check. I know that with the stock OS there is an option to switch between Android and Linux using F button, when booted up to android, but not sure if the button combination vol+ and Power will boot android while Linux OS in TF1 slot.
I will try to figure it out the next days.
I experimented with the original Anbernic image for the RG353M and that does auto boot to Linux with the SD card in TF1 so at this point I'm stuck thinking that this is an issue I can't fix :(
