RG350 - Setup RetroArch rom/playlist scanner (Scan Directory)

Updated: Nov 30, 2023

Hello guys, it's MashTec here,

in this video i want to show you how to make use of RetroArch's internal playlist scanner (Scan Directory function). The scanner needs some files to find the roms, that i shared with you on my google drive (see link below). This method has the advantage, that RetroArch adds the system and it's rom into the menu with right symbols and labels. Still, it can only find roms that are listed in the database. So this method might not be able to find all your roms, so you have to add some roms manually. Enjoy!

1. Copy the cores + info files to /media/data/local/home/.config/retroarch/cores

2. Copy the database files to /media/data/local/home/.config/retroarch/database/rdb

3. Go to -_ Main Menu -_ Load Content -_ File Browser -_ Automatically add content (needs assets to be installed) to activate this feature.

If you haven't installed the assets yet. Watch this video (RG250 - Install Retroarch and setup) first and come back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifA7n1q0iL0&t=46s
